Tony Antosh Chosen as 2012 Paul Crowley Award Winner
The RISSA Special Awards Committee has selected Anthony Antosh, Director of the Paul Sherlock Center on Disabilities as the recipient of the 2012 Paul Crowley Award. The PAUL CROWLEY AWARD is given each year by the Rhode Island School Superintendents’ Association to a Rhode Island citizen who, in his or her professional and/or personal capacity, has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to improving the quality of education for the children of Rhode Island with the same zeal and perseverance as Representative Paul Crowley
RISSA Announces 2012 Superintendent of the Year: Dr. Donna Ottaviano
Kathy Sipala, the 2011 Rhode Island Superintendent of the Year, had the honor and pleasure of introducing her successor to the RISSA members at the General Membership Meeting on August 17th. The announcement that the 2012 Superintendent of the Year is Donna Ottaviano sparked a standing ovation from the members. Donna is the current President of RISSA and is the superintendent in North Providence.
